I don´t like Cars Are Cars very much but I think it´s definately better than Hobo´s Blues or Paranoia Blues .. some really strange Simon song

Benedictus is really a worse song :-)

S&G: I don´t like Cloudy.

PS: Hobo blues is strange and not a "Paul Simon" song. But I think Paranoia Blues is a nice song. Espacially the demo on paulsimon.com.

how can something not be a Paul Simon-song. I mean the great thing about PS is that you cant say that about him - you never know what to expect...

Well Benedictus is really NOT a P.S. song.
It´s only a new arrangement, and I think Artie wanted this song on the LP and did most of the arrangements.

Cars Are Cars is a fantastic song! Shame on you all! And very true. Many people consider an object more important than a person or a place. A song about materialism with a catchy tune. What can you have against it! Benedictus is crap, I agree. Homeward Bound is annoying and Why Don´t You Write Me is a pointless "Album-Filler".

One of my least favorite Paul Simon songs would probably be "Armistice Day"...And my least favorite S&G would probably be "The Dangling Coversation"...I know alot of people Love it, but I can´t stand it usually...There was a time when I liked it, but its deffinately one of my least favorite now...

As well as "Benedictus" lol...

I agree with votes for "Benedictus" ... "Why Don´t You Write Me" rocks, though.

I´m gonna go ahead and put in a vote for "Richard Cory" ... and another one for "Somewhere They Can´t Find Me."

As far as PS solo ... "Armistice Day." (but this whole entry is blasphemy ... sorry, Paul)

I believe that in 1964 Paul had only 2 good titles (SOS and Wednesday morning) and 2 or 3 middle songs... They were obliged to supplement the LP with canticles, negro spirituals or works of other composers (Dylan)... 40 years after : Benedictus, Go tell it on the mountain etc ..are not very interesting

Friends, I can´t say what´s worst Simon´s song, because every his song is different: it has different rhytm, tale, mood...
If you know some Simon´s bad song, you may think about it.
F.E.: I hated "Save the life of my child", but it isn´t so bad song, if you listen it more...:-)

Benedictus is chorus´ song, it´s very difficult sing it. I think it´s "soft song" for nice evening :-))

I think every his song was written with Love to music

What do you mean, ´worst´ song? Like the others are bad, and this one is the worst? ;-)
Anyway, my least favorite song is Silent Night. But must also say that many songs on WM3AM aren´t that exciting either like Bendictus, Peggy-O, Go tell and The sun is burning. Wednesday Morning 3AM is oke, but I like the ´Somewher they can´t find me´ version better. But hé, it´s all a matter of taste and not so much of bad or good songs. By the way, what about the cover of the PSR&T album? The worst?
Can´t think of the ´worst´ PS song yet. Need to come back on that one.

What? Armistice Day?Hobo&Paranoia Blues? They are amongst his masterpieces! I Think the overall quality of his first solo album is still unbeaten. As for Silent Night and Benedictus, the first has a very strong message with the newscast underneath...quite eerie, and the second is a very good demonstration of the power of their harmonic Possibilities...my 2 cents...
