I was a volunteer (meetnadevet) in 1983, a group of us borrowed the Kibbutz minibus and drove down. It was a fabulous evening, the atmosphere warm and supportive, it was the first time they had performed in Israel, so especially important for a Jewish man. The lightning of candles was new to a Brit. So special. I still listen to the live performance in Central Park, a cd in my car

Just saw the fantastic documentary Restless dreams . Reminded me of the concert I saw in Tel Aviv when I was working as a volunteer in a kibbutz. Looked it up when it was and landed here. Great memories of this concert!
