 | I know they have already taped one or two shows in the US and obviously they are going to release this material.
But we all know too that their voices sounded a lot better on the European leg of the tour... and I cannot imagine that none of the band- or managament involved people noticed that as well.
Furthermore I think they cannot let the Rome-show unrecorded. Everyone is so happy that film-material of the CP 81 concert exists and so this event won´t be forgotten over generations. They just can´t do their LAST CONCERT at SUCH A LOCATION and not record it for all the fans in US and outside Rome.
I wish and I start to really believe that the Rome show is the one for the DVD. Anyone agree ?

 | Going by evrything people has said I think you maybe right. That Bridge clip from Rome was brilliant, if not a little wobbly ;-)
I did read elsewhere that Artie was recording the soundcheck with a large camera, so who knows.

 | Hello Friends, newspapers indiscretions say the concert to the Colosseo of Rome will come published in Dvd, to Rome the concert has been shot with very many professional video cameras, the Italian television has had the rights in order to only transmit one song "Old Friends" , why the rest of the material one serves for the Dvd. Yesterday evening has transmitted always on the Italian tv "LA 7" a S&G special of 30 min. with several songs of the concert to the Madison Square Garden of 2003 and "Old Friends" from Rome.
.. I hope for DVD of Rome...

| Hello, I also wait for a DVD of one of the concerts, may be in Rome in front of the Colosseo ! So I can compare it with the concert in Central Park of 1981 --- I listened to that yesterday on DVD four days after the concert at Basel/Switzerland -- unforgettable songs! It was great to see them after fourty years-period of sympathy and to share some lyrics with them at the Basel Stadium !! |
