 | Hi all
Now i am looking for a video file myself....but don´t worry, I won´t open another thread.
I want to see the performance of The Boxer on Saturday Night Live (NBC) 1975.
(That´s the one where Paul said: So Artie, you´ve come crawling back ? :o))
Does anyone of you have this clip or know where to download ? |

 | This one is available on the double DVD - Michael Mittermeier presents best of SNL.
Togehter with the Turkey clip(Still crazy) and Diamonds.
The DVD is unbelievable great, 6 hours of music - and most performances are really funny - for 20 Euros.
SNL was at it´s best in the 70´s ... the performances from the 90´s aren´t that funny, but all with great musicians.
I´ve watched Joe Cocker and John Belushi now for 20 times I think... and Andy Kaufmann as Elvis is the best parody ever. |

| Nice ! I definately will buy that one... though I don´t like this Mittermeier.

(BTW: I have a lot of Andy Kaufman DVDs....he´s still the number one !) |

| Don´t worry about Mittermeier - he isn´t very often on this DVD. He introduces a few of the titles but only very short comments (no sketches by him) |

 | Is that the same thing as SNL 25 Years of Music? Its a 6 disc DVD set that you can buy here in Canada and the US...Its got The Boxer, Pauls turkey monologue and Diamonds On The Soles Of Her Shoes as well, so maybe yours is just a different version?
PS I was watching MuchMoreMusic here in Canada, and they showed video from all 3 of those things (the Boxer, the monologue and Diamonds..) They were great! I got to get them on tape as well as Paul on SNL with "The Sweeney Sisters" (who sing him some of his songs lol)...Very hillarious!! :) |

 | The SNL 25 Years of Music is a 5-disc DVD set not 6. The Boxer and Paul´s turkey clip are right next to each other on Disk 1. Diamonds is on another disk. You can check the full listing of songs on the disks on amazon.com |

| No it´s only a 2 disc version, and a German comedian sometimes introduces the clips with some ´funny(?)´ comments :-) |

"SNL: Best of Paul Simon" DVD?

Nearly every musician or actor has his own SNL DVD - Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy, Chevy, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Farley, Will Ferrel (??), Phil Hartman, Adam Sandler, Mike Myers...
Paul was there for 50 times or more... he also should get a DVD! |

| I just bought the DVD yesterday. (The one with Mittermeier...)
The Boxer is a very nice clip. Unfortunately they cutted off the spoken intro, but the performance is cool. But, my god, they look older on that scene then on the Concert in Central Park.
The DVD rocks !! I just saw the first part yesterday, can´t wait to see the other sketches and performances.
Thomas: If you have the clip including the spoken intro, I am very interested. Tell me, and then we find a way to share it :o) |

My video is with the spoken part: "Artie, you just came crawling back". Maybe there is a way I can upload it on bodo´s provider (don´t know if it is possible), so we can enjoy it all. The video is from a VHS but nice quality! Kuno, you can always mail me: [email protected] :-).
