 | Hi eveyone,
A dutch fan was wondering in which hotel in Amsterdam they will be staying. We would like to wait there to try to get an autograph/ signature.
Does anybody know how to find out???
Thanks, Amber ( and Machteld ) |

 | Hm, just take the 2 best hotels in town... Ritz or whatever it is in Amsterdam ?
The chance is very good that they will stay there. Then you can ask there if for example a ´Mark Stewart´ is living in this hotel - I´m sure they will tell you as they don´t know that he is prominent ;-)

 | If I would be a star, I would hate those "fans" who are on the site or even inside the hotel (especially at the final few shows of a tour).
I can imagine that Paul feels the same way... can also imagine that Art is a little more relaxed about that.
I personally don´t see the point to bother them in their privacy. If you want an autograph, write them. If you want to see them, go to the show. If you want to talk to them, forget it... :o)

 | For the last Paul´s tour, there were some fans in Germany (among them, Evelyn & I think Miriam was thee too, right ? :-)) who have been able to see him and talk to him at his hotel (and spend even much more time with the musicians ;-)) and he didn´t seem bothered at all ! I don´t say it´s good to persecute but if you remain dicreet and nice enough, no problem ! |

 | It was the 2000 tour in Hamburg :-)
But the difference was that we were invited by the musicians to the hotel; we did not wait there and it was pure coincidence that Paul himself walked through the lobby...To read the whole story, have a look at my website: http://www.paulsimon.cjb.net, go to "Paul Simon live" and then click on the Hamburg review :-) |

 | I should add that although Paul was very nice and talked to us, he seemed quite reserved and "untouchable". It was a bit like talking to your university professor or another person with high authority, if you know what I mean... |

 | LOL ! I have never had any problem to talk to my University professors while I imagine I would be much more impressed by Pal because of all the things he can represent for me ! |

 | You will not become a star Kuno ;-)
Star´s need their fan´s... it´s their life. Yes they always say other things in interviews - but I´m 100% sure they would be depressed when they are not famous in the future and no one will recognize them :-) |

 | You´re right Nath, I´m much more nervous when I talk to my professor´s cute assistant... *sighs deeply*
And Bodo, of course a concert is much mroe special than talking to your professor (OR his assistant...) but I was looking for a way to describe the nervousness one feels when you meet your favourite star ;-) |
