 | As you may already know you can download one of the previously unreleased/demo songs from http://www.paulsimon.com each day.
But you can listen to or download the complete bonus material as well.
Play the following URL with the Windows Media Player:
http:\http://www.rhino.com/04/paulsimon/TITLE_100.asx
replace TITLE with the songtitle, e.g. slipslidinaway.
I was able to listen to most of the tracks that are listed in the box set article in the news section of this site.
Some tracks are really great: Gone At Last has a wonderful rythm (reminds me of Celia). Pauls singing is remarkably strong and clear on many songs. |

 | Type/copy this address into your Browser (Internet Explorer):
http:\http://www.rhino.com/04/paulsimon/slipslidinaway_1 00.asx
then Windows Media Player should start and play the song. For some songs you have to try to find the right name ( paranoia_100.asx meandjulio_100.asx goneatlast_100.asx)
I haven´t found all addresses (still searching Loves Me Like A Rock acoustic demo, Diamonds, ...)
Good Luck! |

 | OK for computer speakers but far from CD or better quality.
.wma Windows Media Audio
96 kbit/s 44 khz stereo, 1-pass CBR
So if you really want to enjoy buy the CDs (I will probably buy the box set).
The quality of the songs varies.
excellent (imho): Let Me Live In Your City, Shelter OF Your Arms (really fast song), Shoplifting Clothes (great rock choir vocals sung by Paul), Take Me To The Mardi Gras (Paul and a guitar are the essence of the whole song), Diamonds (A great bass, several "Pauls" and LBM at the end, that´s it!), Gone At Last (Fantastic percussion, but Pauls voice is not loud enough on the recording)
"interesting": Duncan, American TuneS, Spiral Highway (sound track of "How The Heart Aproaches What It yearns" with a slightly different text/melody, sung very relaxed, a bit lush), All Because Of You (Jonah is much better), Homeless (Paul can sing really low bass notes!)
don´t know: Silent Eyes, Slip Slidin Away (the 12-string guitar is a bit too prominent), Paranoia Blues (not sure which version I like more)
I still haven´t listened to all tracks. |

 | Why don´t you guys write the extensions for the songs you´ve found? Maybe only the ones which are not the actual complete title. That would be great...

 | Here you can listen to a sample of all the songs: http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?PID=6741 377&style=music&frm=lk_mysimon
There isn´t really a complete new song (words AND music) between the bonus tracks, isn´t it? |

 | Isn´t "shelter of your amrs" a new song? OK, the first line were used in When Numbers Get Serious, but it´s a complete new song for me! And I think it´s a great song. Does somebody know why Paul didn´t released this song? I´m completely in Love with this song (I´m trying to figure it out on guitar, but it´s very difficult for me. Can somebody try to figure it out too?). Well, my conclusion: Shelter of your Arms is a great song!

 | Maybe because it´s strange to have 2 songs starting with the same line? ;-)
But this really shows that Paul ´Thinks too much´ ... he could have written a ´When Numbers Get Serious (b)´ too... |

 | :)
He should write and record more, like other artist. And bring out, like for example Springsteen, an extra box with 4 cd´s full unrecorded songs. |
