 | ....which haven´t ever listened to the album but write a career overview.
From PalmBeachPost.com

"After Saints, he disappeared for years to work on a stage musical. But The Caveman was a flop, and his 1997 recording of songs from
the show isn´t much better. This meditation about a Puerto Rican teen killer from a ´50s New York gang reveals an artist who seems
to have lost, or given up, the signature melody that anchors his best work. Even when he tries to re-create the doo-wop sound of
´50s Nuevo York, it sounds like a second-rate rehash of West Side Story.
2000´s You´re The One is worse. Would this disc have even been released if his name weren´t Paul Simon? He has absolutely nothing to
say, and musically can´t be bothered beyond somnolent, half-sung songs devoid of remarkable choruses and melodies.
Most artists runs out of steam, and most pop artists usually do their best work in the flush of youth. Simon´s high quality of work
over three decades is a remarkable achievement, and the slighter stuff of recent vintage needs no apologies.
Maybe he´s happily married and busy with the family. Maybe he´s content to sing the Old songs with Garfunkel."

Yep, maybe The CAVEMAN is a meditation album, but wouldn´t it be better if Larry did listen
Paul Simons album before writting this article?

 | It´s time for me to enter the journalism scene. Just imagine - radio programs full of Paul Simon/S&G, concert and album reviews in every music magazine and the latest news on TV...No more stupid things we have to read, no bad researched information...Ahh, I´m dreaming :-D |
