 | Hi all:
Looking for the version of "The Sound of Silence", with several seconds long applause after "and in the naked light I saw ten thousand people maybe more", having the singers pausing the singing until the applause lessened.
I had this for ages, sadly, both music HDD's died on me during a severe power peak.
Can someone help me please?
Thank you.
Xog.

 | It definitely was on the album "The Concert in Central Park".
It was a little bit crowded that night: 100.000 people, maybe more. |

 | I remember applause after "Ten thousand people maybe more" at Central Park but don't recall them stopping the song for a few seconds . They stopped for quite a while after the opening lines of "Sound of Silence " at Wilkes Barre 16 Oct 2003 .(first might of the 2003 reunion tour )

 | Firstly, thank you all for replying.
And apologises for the late reaction, things have been hectic.
I know all the versions here mentioned.
The one I specifically look for has a pause singing, but the music kept going, as if the sheer loudness could not vocally be overcome.
This is the version that was playing when my father passed ... hence it is so important to me.
Asked this question on different fora, to no avail, thusfar ... . |

 | No idea where the audio was recorded, only thing I know, it was professionally recorded, by the quality of the recording.
Also, it was a rather old recoding, from before the 90's. |

 | Was it a S&G-concert or a solo concert by Paul Simon (or Art Garfunkel)? |

 | I believe S&G.
Is there another way to find the song?
A way to say contact either of the singers, to ask them personally? |
