 | Last Friday Ireland’s longest running chat show the ‘LateLate’ had a tribute show for Shane McGowan of the Pogues. There were a couple of clips featuring Paul Simon sending him a message. They seem to have been good friends - though two more unlikely bed fellows you could never meet. Shane is well known for his fondness for a tipple the effects of which are very obvious whereas Paul Simons lifestyle would be Very Heath orientated.

  | Paul and Shane have been good friends for quite a while. He usually attends Paul's concerts in Dublin and there was a video clip of Shane on instagram attending The Farewell Concert while Call Me Al was performed. Paul also appeared on the RTE Fairytale of New York doc in 2017. Interesting article too about their relationship with Paul from Shane's wife , Mary Victoria Clark.

I watched the Late Late Show here in Australia on RTE Player . It was excellent. Enjoyed Shane's performance.

 | I always tried to be the exact opposite of Share just to become Paul Simons friend.
Have to change my strategy now.
