I am a singer-songwriter from Barcelona (Spain) and I have recently recorded a couple of demos of Paul Simon songs, translated and sung in Catalan (my own language). If it may be of your interest, here you can find them:

Very nice idea : that proves Paul songs are really international ! I am sorry I don´t really speak Catalan (though I live near Perpignan, the French Catalonia :-))but I am starting to speak Occitan (the tradional "war" between the 2 communities :-) )and that could give me some ideas... :-)
Jorcx, do you try to strictly respect Paul´s text or (as I can imagine because it´s not always possible to translate word by word)do you adapt it ?

Hi Nathgertsch, thanks for your message. Well, I really try to be as respectful as possible to the original lyrics, even though I have to adapt some things because I also try to make the words rhyme properly...

I imagine it´s not always easy as English and Catalan are not very similar :-)
I would be curious to hear one of your songs : any MP3?

Maybe I can help you Nathalie, I looked at the sites, at the first one you have to click on Molt Temps (white), on the second one I could listen 40 seconds but you can choose there at All MadeinMusic (in a small field) for info mp3 option but I don´t speak French to read the info there.
