When they had to count the people, you saw it was only 1/10th or less.
So yes, London was a big show, all tickets had to be bought and maybe this number is one(?) of the biggest for Paul Simon on a non-free show.
I was at a free concert in Central park once in 2009 and I would say the concert area has about the same size as within the Hyde Park (maybe central parks place is a little bigger), but in New York people has their blankets and picnic with them, they sit and occupy a big area. It could be, that Pauls concert at the park 1991 had even less than 60.000 people. (for Bon Jovi they only counted 48.000)

BTW: The crowd in London for example was much bigger than at the 2002 Rome concert (Paul Simon solo, also free), they said there have been 60.000, I assume there maybe have been 20.000
