Humm...he appeared to me a bit tired when I saw him last week (even from the last balcony).

But in these videos from P. Fournier, it is even more obvious.

He is probably looking forward for that summer recess...

Sounds more serious to me...
It is not the perfect time at 75 to take a longer break. He is very fit and at the top.
I always was hoping he will tour all his life.
But the real problem is that I can not imagine an old Simon who can only sit on a chair and sing slow tunes. So maybe it is the best idea to retire. Or can you imagine Tina Turner jumping around on stage nowadays?

I think we should take this with a grain of salt...

He seems to be talking in a mood of fatigue, 'ending of tour' kind of mood.

He is about to play two concerts in his childhood district and he does not have any feelings about it...voyons donc, Paul !

Also, he does not have any interest in show business ? Sure. And my name is Micky Mouse !

Impossible. The man is due for vacations.

Maybe it is the end of extensive tours, although I doubt it is his last presence on stage.

All this is surprising though. When I saw him for the tour with Sting, it was 'Wow, this man is 72?' ?

I think you are right Mon. It must be tiredness at the end of the tour. I can't immagine him traveling for a year and than sit at home and not make music anymore. On the other hand I can't blame him either. He had such a long career! So for me I hope he continues. If not I wish him a great retirement. And with that prospect in mind I will try to experience and enjoy his concert in the Netherlands even more.

I think he means it, and this is the end (after his tour). As an admirer of most of his solo work, but also of his duo work, I really hope at some point there will be a final farewell concert broadcasted live and semi live throughout the world, covering his solo successes and also covering his S&G successes together with Art. He indeed looks very tired and 15 hours of sleep used to be 10 which was also too long.. so I believe him, and he deserved it. He does not have to sing all those songs for us you know, since they all were recorded and we can play them again and again and again :-)

I for sure think this will be his last big tour and like he says he will take a break for 1 year when this tour iver.
Meaning he will be 76 when the break is over. At 76 making a new album and touring US and Europe again is not likely to me. Perhaps a small greatest hits tour to really put things to an end is a possibility?

Honestly do not know any 74 year old who sleeps for 15 hours ! Gross exaggeration . Regarding the report that Paul needs to recover for days after a show , 5 times this last tour he has played 3 consecutive shows plus he has been giving many interviews during the tour. And rehearsing new songs !

Maybe he did the interviews in his sleep? ;)

Probably another reason he toured with Sting. He could have a sleep whilst Sting is on stage .
