 | Maybe available in a few days outside USA.
I can listen now to the discussion of The Werewolf. Very worthwhile and a big promise for the whole album.

 | there is a solution, making its invisible connection and locate the USA. This is possible with your antivirus.
Not to be used for something else ;)
It became my favorite album of the modern era. Maybe a little too much effect on his voice |

 | Strangely enough, I am in the US now.
I listened to it this am.
My first impression is kind of 3.5 out of 5.
But need to listen again. |

 | I think it's a master peice. I didn't expect to like it as much as I do. It's one of his best and most artistic albums. |

 | I was sent the CD last week. A friend of mine in USA has a good friend who is in the business and I have the promotional CD.
I quite like Wristband. Riverbank is ok. Insomniac’s Lullaby is also ok. Overall to me its not up to the standard of the great Paul Simon albums. I have listened to each song about 10 times. |

 | Yeah...I am looking forward to receive the CD and play it with a good audio system at home.
I was able to listen to it only on a mobile device.
It contains great songs on it; no doubt. But maybe he had material for 5-6 songs, really.
The two instrumental pieces are 'mas o menos'. They feel a bit out of place in the whole. 'The Clock' feels uninspired. 'In the Garden of Edie' has its moments, but it last so short that we are left on our appetite. Paul running out of fuel...
Personally, I am a bit puzzled by the Street Angel/In a Parade duo. Can't say the story (if we can even call that) really interests me. 'Street Angel', I don't like. It is a modern 'Cars are Cars' for me; an embarassment. But my wife loves it, so it is a matter of taste I guess. 'In a Parade' I like, but, once again, why so short ?
'Proof of Love' has a nice kind of chorus/main line, which disappears before he drags the song longer than required into a boring ending. Lots of it makes me thing about the soft part of 'That's me'. Déjà vu/entendu.
What I like is:
- The Werewolf
- Wristband
- Cool Papa Bell (finally liked it !)
- The Riverbank
- Stranger to Stranger (Paul doing Sting-like song; wish the saxophone would have lasted forever!).
- Insomniac's Lullaby (finally liked it!)
Overall, SBOSW was a more cohesive whole work, even with lots of variety. And it was something more straightforward.
Yep, 3.5 out of 5.

  | Can anyone point me to a shop where the CD+Mp3 download can be bought together?
I want the CD...but just for collection I guess. I am unable to convert the CD to mp3 due to lack of any DVD-drive on laptops now :-O |

 | I really like the album. Can't say I care about Street Angel, but it might grow on me. In the Garden of Edie is ok, but The clock is pointless to me. I guess some will say that it's brilliant or artisticly interesting, but it does nothing for me.
That being said, I love The riverbank and Stranger to stranger, that reminds me of The teacher. Love that atmoshpere.
My favourite modern PS album is YTO (I know it's outrageous), then Surprise and then the new one, I think. Never really liked most of SBOSW. |
