 | SURPRISE for me. YTO is second (from his post 2000 albums). The other ones doesn't mean very much to me. |

 | For me, it is:
SBOSW
YTO
The Capeman
Surprise
Still, it is a discussion we have among us, because not a lot of people know these albums.
Thinking about it, although PS complained about Surprise being a very lonely project for him, I think the album has aquired its importance in what we now know of his work since then (SBOSW and STS).

 | For me the modern era began with the Capeman - which I love, SBOSW comes a close second, with Suprise and then YTO.
Songs from each of these albums that stand out, Quality, Rewrite, Wartime Prayers and Quiet. Looking forward to Stranger to Stranger :)) |

 | My favorite modern Simon album would definitely be "Harper Simon" from (2009). Well worth listening to! And some songs co-written by Harper's father. |

 | I agree Songs From the Capeman is by far his most underrated album. You're The One is an album that I don't listen to as often as the others but when I do I sort of get addicted to it and it becomes all I listen to for a while. Surprise is a master piece though the songs on So Beautiful are like the best elements of Surprise mixed with the best elements of his seventies albums. |
