 | I saw Huber von Goisern last saturday. :-)
WOW. He is so great, really really great. The show is full of power. He has only 4 musicians in the band, but this sounds as full as Paul with 12 musicians because they can play everything. Hubert himself plays the styria accordion, guitar, trumpet, harmonica and flute.
The girl plays violine, bagpipes and mouth-drum (can´t translate it correct...) then he has a superb percussionist/drumer with some tibetan instruments, a chello, bass, double-bass and a guitar player who plays everything from mandoline to pedal steel guitar.
As usually he was wearing his strange clothes - not a red trouser like on the picture but a green one :-)
The show was full of power, he played for 2 1/2 hour and mostly very fast songs. AT one point he asked a little girl from the audience to come onto the stage and to play the accordion together with hime - very cute. |

 | Nice to hear from Hubert again... :o)
Did he play "Old" songs like "hiatamadel" etc.. ?
I really like the combination of rocky e-guitar and harmonica... would be a hot tip for Paul *g* |

 | Yes he played Hiatamadl, and 2 other Old songs (Griasknedl and the one about Serben und Krawoten - where he changed the lyrics to "Palästina")
I maybe will visit another show this year too, when he plays another set list. This concert was at a special event (a meeting of worldwide accordion players - in the audience) so he played 2/3 traditional songs on the accordion and not much from his ethno music. But it was als absolutely great |

 | I can imagine that it was great...
I have to check if he also plays in Switzerland... would be nice to see him again. I only saw him once, a long time ago... I guess he has a a lot more music in his program now than he had at that time...

 | Oh Nathalie, I was much more excited - really.
I had tears in my eyes sometimes because the sound was so good and so new...unique - if I wouldn´t have seen the instruments I sometimes wouldn´t have any idea where this sound came from :-).
Also a good thing is that he isn´t very expensive IMO. 33 Euros for a normal show, and you can decide where to sit (I´m not sure if he has seats at every show, but this one was in a small congress room)
There were only about 500 + 700 people or so, so I was able to sit in row 6 :-)
To Kuno: I think he has changed his sound a little bit in the last years, after the albums together with the ´Alpinkatzen´ (a lot of e-guitar) he made 2 world-ethno albums (he even was on tour in Africa a few years ago)
Then he released the albums Trad and Fön (trad with traditional Austrian songs, Fön with more Jazz and Ethno elements)
His latest album is "Trad II".
So I would say on this tour he play´s more traditional songs (in his style) than ethno or alp-rock songs.
He will also tour trough Switzerland (and many concerts in Germany)

 | I can well understand that ! I will go to a concert in July too from a band I am really fond of (and I will even be able to meet them backstage ! :-))I have been invited but the price was (only :-))30 ? and I am sure it will be wonderful (and you can decide where to sit too)!
Luckily, those kinds of "simple" concerts still exist ! |

 | YESSS !
He plays at the "Theater Spektakel" in Zurich. That´s such a lovely event in a great atmosphere... and only 15 minutes away from my home :o) ! I surely won´t miss that !
I know that he changed his style... the early Alpinkatzen-songs were songs that are "just" fun. Now I am really interested in his style of music. |

 | Thanks for the setlist.
I don´t know most of these songs, but I am sure to see this show this summer.
About the Bayrisch Diadonischer Jodelwahnsinn: I remember seeing this band on the small stage of an openair festival in Switzerland a few years ago..but I don´t know anymore how they sound. |
