  | I think of the old songwriter there are very few of them who wrotes intressting music today Paul Mcartney long from his best also John Fogerty and Bob Dylan, Ray Davids I like them all but I think Paul Simon is in a class for himself. I don´t relly understand what people here search for The Boxer 2.o or something like that. I don´t think is so easy to do songs they did for 40 years agon. |

 | I agree with Pelle. I don't want to hear the same thing I heard before. I think his recent albums have all been extremely interesting to hear. Honestly their probably my favorite of his work because they get better and better with each listen and there's always something more to hear in them. |

| I generally agree that Simon is in a class by himself in terms of his continued level of creativity. Simon works so hard to keep sounding fresh and his efforts pay off. But there are a few honorable mentions. Leonard Cohen has continued to write some excellent songs (however all of which are strictly within Cohen's established style), as has Al Stewart (who almost no one listens to, sadly). And I have to defend McCartney because he has done some good late career work, beginning with some of Flaming Pie and most of Chaos and Creation. |

| I agree Mcartney has done some good songs but not in the compaire whit his early work but for me Simon on each album he has two sometimes three songs who can reach some of his best work. |
