 | Sad to hear paul say himself & Artie don't talk anymore! I know Artie went a bit berserk in the media last year but I think that may have been due to his 'nerves' ! Not talking to each other isn't going to solve anything. Still I'm happy that there won't be a reunion tour soon! Roll on Stanger to Stranger |

  | Wow!
But completely understandable. I also would not talk with Garfunkel, after all those things this guy said in recent interviews. It was never that worse before than back in 2015.
Nice that Paul knows there are fans who prefer Rhythm of the saints over Graceland.
I hope he is doing some more songs than 3 new+10 older+2 from So beautiful and 1 from YTO... that is not much?!!? 16 songs?

 | Paul is setting this up here.
While this won't be a Simon and Garfunkel tour...
Obviously Artie will join him for this final show. It's absolutely a given. It's Forest Hills! There's no way it won't happen.

 | I agree with Bodo. Why would Paul want to tour with AG after all he has said?
They spent a lot of time talking about the friendship being "repaired" around the Old Friends tour but now it seems it has broken down again.
It's an endless cycle, a shame that it doesn't look like it will end on an up but AG can barely sing anymore and PS has a new album.
I think it's a little bit insulting asking the question on that basis. |

 | We need to be careful...we don't have AG's version. Would his derailment from last year a testimony of some frustration toward PS about another reunion. PS saying to him: 'Man, your voice has not recovered ! I am not doing it'. ?
We don't know.
Also, PS has been in naughty in the tour with Sting, making Sting sing BOTW.
So, back in forth, there has been some bad moves. |

  | Maybe Sting wanted to sing BOTW. Never read anywhere that Paul MADE him perform it. Paul joined Sting on The Police's big hit " Every Breath ". No reason why they both should not perform Bridge together . Fans expect the big hits in stadium shows and they loved it. I do not know what discussions they have had privately but publicly Paul has only said positive things about AG for many years. Art knows there is no chance of a reunion tour, His voice is still not up to stadium shows and probably never will be. He has since blamed the Australian S and G tour in 2009 for his voice problems. There could never be any excuse for that interview Art gave. It was mean and meant to hurt. At the very least he should have retracted it and apologized. |

  | That's a cruel thing to say. What Art said last year, even I
knew it wasn't to be taken seriously, just an attempt to get
Paul to say something. But both have tours too far away for
me to go to. Even Paul's voice is giving a bit. I love it when
Paul plays those smaller venues. Would never attend a stadium
show, was hoping for Paul M. to come here and now he is, no
way what I ever attend a show in our US Bank arena,my hoped for a summer of concerts is gone.

 | Of course Art should have apologized publicly for all the garbage he said about Paul. Instead, he said something like, 'I was working on my autobiography and I was at the part about the concert in Central Park and I was angry because Paul did more of his solo songs than I did....' Duh? As if anyone wanted to listen to an equal number of Art's solo songs??? I think Watermark is an excellent album, but for him to think his solo work is on the same level as Paul's shows me how delusional he is. Paul was right to ignore his comments and he is right to just say, no more S&G. |

 | If Art wanted Paul to say something, he could have just called him and spoken to him, I'm sure he knows the number. Using media as a point of contact was just about the worst thing he could do.
Anyway, after seeing recent youtube clips, it should be clear to everybody that Art still hasn't recovered his voice and it is quite painful to see him sing these days. If I would have paid money to see him in concert without knowing, I would have felt cheated. He is definitely not up to S&G standards, and probably never will be again. Both guys will be 75 this fall! |

  | mog - thats all speculation. I do not see any sign for bad moves by Paul.. so there are not any.
Art has already lost his voice in 2010 at the last jazz festival concert, but his manager lied to Paul and said Art is fine and can sing. I guess this was a situation that Paul really hated, to be on stage in front of 50.000 or more and performing so badly.
And I would agree with Paul (if he said) that Arts voice did not recover.
I do not think it was naughty when Sting sang BOTW. Sting had only very nice words about Art, he said he could never do it the way Art can. |

  | Little video I made showing Paul saying only nice things about Art! And Sting's thoughts on performing BOTW. By the way not the first time AG said he created a monster. I heard him say this in a BBC documentary first broadcast around 1991.

Guess he has changed his mind about touring again though !
Guess Paul has changed his mind about farewell tour though

  | That's the one I was talking about Brenda! I think it's time
to move on. Though Paul won't be coming anywhere near me, I
don't know how much of the new album I would like. |
