Regarding Forums V Paul Simon FB there is room for both imo. AMPS FB page does have many discussions and you really get to keep up with the latest PS news on there. Personal FB pages with family photos etc are not part of this Forum ! That is for your personal page and is a great way to reunite family and friends overseas and keep in contact at no cost !
That said The forun here has a huge amount of PS information which is much more accessible and previous posts over the years can be searched easily. Some current threads still have many views but very few people seem to bother to reply unlike the old days. The Simon and Garfunkel message board which ran for many years was recently disabled. I guess for the same reason as very few people were posting. It would be sad to see this go the same way.Would be great to see less lurking and more participation !
Let's see what the new album will bring. Maybe some discussions about songs.
We also have to agree that it was a little bit quiet around Paul (until this tour was revealed). He did not do much in 2015.
I access the forum via phone or tablet & have to use the password though there is an auto fill . Bodo I booked the hotel costing nothing, flight would've cost about €600 too. Would've loved to see Paul @ New Orleans but have too many things going on April may June to justify the expense!!

Since the album is supposed to come out in Spring, I'd imagine a single is on the way very soon. I'm actually surprised one hasn't been released yet lol
Rehearsals commenced this week ! Would be great if there were a couple of appearances on TV to promote the album. Paul's Official biographer had this to say about the album on Twitter a couple of weeks ago.
"Paul Simon's new album is spectacular. Among his best ever."

"Among his best ever."
The kind of statement Paul Simon uses way to often... The last album was "my best work since Graceland".
Well...for me, that statement has always been wrong, because his best work since Graceland is...ROTS ! But I have always understood that Graceland is probably the last thing people remember about PS, so it made sense to refer to it.
'YTO' was among his finest work, they said.
'Surprise' was labeled as best since Graceland.
'SBOSW' was his best since Graceland, we have been told...
So, we will hear and judge by ourselves when the time comes !
That being said, if STS has been arranged and composed with the band that surrounded him for SBOSW, I am quite confident.
Quite a few talented artists have posted ,over the past couple of years, that they have worked with Paul on the new album. Should make it very interesting.
Delicate Steve plays guitar on one song. Bobby Mcferrin sings vocals on "Insomniacs Lullaby " and Jack De Johnette, the great jazz drummer plays on one song.
