 | Thanks Brenda, yes he did say at Oxford "ignore whatever has come out of my mouth about Paul Simon, he has greatly enhanced my life --- fact". At his age he really should keep away from controversy / easy pickings for journalists...
His son James was fantastic --- Art said "he's got a better voice than me and mine isn't too bad".
There were the odd coughs (he looked quite nervous at times) but a great evening (he had a superb keyboard player too). |

 | Both these guys are knocking on... art also has a history of smoking weed which had got him in trouble with the law and it's well documented that a lifetime on that will do crazy things to your personality. I'm not surprised he comes out with crazy things at times!
Paul is getting less blunt and more relaxed with age, but is still prone to acting like a baby at times (remember his recent incident with Edie). Art is more inclined to succumb to his inferiority complex and say derogatory things then the mood takes him.
If Paul doesn't get worked up, I don't see why we should on his behalf. I just take it as the ramblings of a crazy old man. I still admire him and would love to shake his hand. |

 | Apparently Art recently showed up on one of the late night shows singing with the "Black Simon & Garfunkel" which is a parody of S&G. They were introduced with a parody of the Bookends album cover. A shorter black guy plays the guitar and a taller one with an afro sings harmony. Art joined them mid-song. I tend to think that most of the audience probably doesn't really know S&G, as they are younger. |
