On the song Biko he better should not have changed the numbers, as the song is about a historical fact.
So seriously, most songs Paul has written are fictional, it does not matter. But what is about "He was my brother"
Interesting research here:
http://paulsimonsongs.blogspot.co.at/2009/10/he-wa s-my-brother.html The person researching was maybe missleaded by Paul, cause with his artistical freedom he just changed the age of the freedom rider...from maybe twenty (the word does not fit because it is too short) to twentythree...
The only other non-fictional songs I can think about now are all the Capeman songs. There he could not change the numbers I guess, maybe Derek was there to have an eye on all the numbers and ages Paul tried to change ;-)

In the Central Park Concert (1981), Paul sang:
"I was reading a magazine
And thinking of a rock and roll song
The year was 1956"
This was later corrected with "1954", since that was acutally the date when Johnny Ace died playing Russian Roulette.
Paul makes sometimes funny mistakes. On the Old Friends Live album he literally says on Leaves That Are Green "the last time we sang this song in concert was Carnegie Hall 1967". Well, if you know the album Live 1969 you know they sang it right there in 1969 in concert, so the Carnegie Hall was not the last time... :-)
He also told Billy Joel at the Nassau Coliseum a couple of weeks ago they had never performed together. They did at Back to The Ranch 1990. Sea Cruise
