I have just received email from ticketservice that they have upgraded my tickets. This was because i ordered the tickets in presale with the code from paulsimon.com. Now i'm in the front of the stage at row 5. First my tickets were 70 euro but. The place were my seats are now are 200 Euro!
Anyone else also got an update on their tickets? It's great that they do that!! Than again i think it will not be a full house in Antwerp......

I have noticed that in fairly sold-out venues there have been tickets at the front (with silly prices) left unsold.

So they move people forward because it doesn't matter as much if some seats at the back or in the gods are left empty.

What a night in Antwerp. Almost 3 hours of hits. For me it was the first time to see Sting live. It was great. Lots of songs had some new arrangements. Setlist was the same as the last week.

Paul was really in good shape. Looking forward to see him again on his next solo tour. The way he is playing and moving on the stage i can not see him quit touring soon.

Yes Paul was in good shape, and so was his voice. I saw them in Amsterdam last Sunday. Awesome.
Did you read the reviews? They were very positive.
I thought Tony Cedras was in Paul's band this tour, but I didn't see him in Amsterdam.

Yes the reviews are brilliant ! Both Amsterdam and Antwerp. Some great videos of both venues up on You Tube. Tony Cedras is not in the touring band . Nor was he in the US Sting Tour. I believe he is doing other things and was not available.

It was a great evening at Ziggo Dome. Paul & Sting both in very good shape. Great setlist, great interaction between both bands and great solo's. The audience sang lustily the well known songs, a lot of standing and dancing. The last six songs everyone who could, came forward to the stage and in between the aisles to dance and sing along. Tulips and other flowers were thrown on stage. Paul and Sting had fun together, trying to pick each others flowers. Sting sang during Cecilia "shave" my face instead of wash my face. You could see how much they enjoyed to perform together.

A few quotes from the Dutch newspaper The Volkskrant. They gave the performance 5 stars!

"Paul Simon and Sting: we will never forget it."

"It was fantastic musicianship and what was there a lot to hear in the songs."

"The celebration lasted three hours and you could not get bored for a minute: 34 songs, two full concerts."

Thanks for the review Ans. Would have loved to have seen them having fun with the tulips. Fantastic to get 5 Stars and great quotes. Other European reviews have also been great ! There are many great videos from Ziggy Dome and Antwerp !

Cologne yesterday (March 25) was great too. The sound was a little bit too reveberating at first, but they corrected it.
The audience was/came more in favour of Sting I guess, but Paul really convinced them he was at least as good.

And there was more melody and less repeating than in Sting`s Songs. Jo, jo, jo 10 times isn`t very interesting.

Sold out, 15.000, totally satisfied at the end. At one point Paul asked, Oh you want to hear "One-trick Pony"? But sang "Diamonds..." instead.

Rosi and I thought the same Klausi. Sting's set was louder, more rock and repeating lyrics. Paul's set is more ingenious, with more diversity in lyrics and instruments.

The sound was very good at Ziggodome.

In Germany Paul had no Top Ten-Hit ever. The Album Graceland sold very well, Platinum (more than 500.000 copies) and Rhythm of the Saints went Gold (more than 250.000). But total Album sales of Paul here are certainly under 2 Million, compared to the fact, that Graceland alone sold this in the UK.

The same applies for France, Italy and Spain.

So no wonder that he has not the attraction that he has in the US with 3 Million-selling singles or the UK with three No 1 Albums.

Netherlands always was quite open for his solo-activities, which in the opinion of almost all critics are better than those of S&G.

Certainly the fact that there is no typical Simon-Sound and the long intervals between two Albums released are relevant for this too. His output is less than four Songs per year.

Who could believe that Hearts and Bones, Graceland and Surprise are made of one musician?
