Found a good article about the new S&G box set:

But maybe the most interesting part is the last paragraph:

"And for Halee, the journey continues. He's excited about the new album Halee is working on. "You wouldn't believe it," says Halee, but he's working on a new album by Paul Simon. Halee is reguarly flying from Colorado to Newark and then being driven to New Haven, Connecticut. "So it's a bit of a schlep," he jokes about the commute. But it's worth it. They're recording with much of Simon's excellent touring band, with the tracks tend to be coming first and then the lyrics following this time around. Any theme? Any driving element to the project, like the South African music that inspired the Grammy winning masterpiece Graceland which Halee also worked on and considers a crowning achievement? Not really, just the building block for all of Simon's work over the decades. "Just really really good songs," says Halee."

Thanks. I'm glad to see Paul is working on a new album and also glad to see that he is working with Roy Halee again. After the video for the reissue of BOTW, in which Halee seemed so enthusiastic, I wondered if Paul would work with him again. I think Phil Ramone had a good influence of SBOSW. But that is probably me just being "Old!"

I'm happy as long as Brian Eno is not working with Paul... ;)

What are the odds that The Riverbank will be on this new album? If it is do you think it will change a lot from the first time we heard it?

Thanks for posting. Great news. But Paul, going on tour again for a few months, will have few time to work on the album.

The difference between engineer and producer seems not exactly clear.

But clear is, Paul almost always worked with Roy Halee and Phil Ramone, and it enriched his work certainly, because he seems to be open for other ideas.

Not as as much as Paul enriched Art Garfunkel`s life of course, but even a little drop would do!

I like that idea a lot, Roy Halee working again with Paul. If you imagine him flying in from Texas just for a few recording sessions then Paul must have a special sound in his ear that only Halee can produce...
