I'm sure not a lot of you heard this, but Steve Van Zandt was a guest DJ on SiriusXM's E-Street Radio (Bruce Springsteen's 24/7 station) and me being a huge Bruce and Stevie fan, I tune in to that channel a lot. One of the songs he played, saying it was one of his favorites was "Mrs. Robinson" but performed by Frank Sinatra. After the song was over, he comes back on and said "That was Frank Sinatra performing Mrs. Robinson. Paulie Simon is probably rolling over in his grave right now...oh wait he's not dead...oh well. Then I'm sure he really liked this then". I thought it was a peculiar comment to make. What do you guys make of it? Do you think he is still holding a grudge over the whole Graceland documentary or is this something deeper going on here?

Not sure what Steve Van Zandt thinks Danny but I am sure Paul liked the record. He said in the recent Baseball documentary, shown on television, that he went to see Frank Sinatra in 1981 and was blown away by how good he was!

Guess he tried to make a bad joke first, then found out that making jokes about someone to be death wouldn't be funny at all and then he said just something boring.

Paul Simon wasn't happy with the Frank Sinatra version and was going to sue them until the record exec (or whoever) pleaded with him not to because he'd lose his job. Apparently they changed the lyrics removing the word Jesus without seeking permission. I heard this in a very recent interview (not sure if it was the baseball one).

It was the Baseball Interview Matthew . But Paul did go on to say that he wen to a Frank Sinatra show the night after the 1981 Concert in the Park and was blown away by Frank's performance. Also .contrary to what I have read, he was not at all impressed by the Elvis performance of BOTW and could not go backstage to meet Elvis and pretend otherwise. He wished Elvis had sang his own arrangement on it and not merely copied the original.
