I am a little confused if this is a new Simon/Sting or Paul Simon tour. Paul is also recording new songs so it also could be a tour of his own.. Anyone have some info on that??

Hm, hopefully I am there...lets think.

nov, dec, jan, feb, march ...hm, not sure. I have never seen a Paul Simon tour planed so long in advance.

Is it not a normal thing to book venues about 8 months before a tour starts Bodo?

Well taking a good look at where Paul is playing this tour i see he is playing in Antwerp. Than he will be playing at the sportpaleis and they can have 22.000 people.
The last 15 years paul has always played at Vorst National in Brussels in Belgium and they can have 8000 people max. He can not fill those huge venues on his own anymore so think it will be the Simon/Sting tour...
Just a thought.......

Not usual for Paul Simon so far in advance! My guess this is a solo tour to promote an album. But Australia/ New Zealand first? Brenda this must be your doing:)

And of course 2 dates in Dublin :))))

A lot of touring for a man in his mid 70s

Scaaty. it has as been reported on another PS website from a very reliable source ,a few weeks ago, that this is a Sting /Simon Tour. Honestly I do not believe there is any way Paul solo could be performing at so many venues in, Australia after coming here last year. There are 2 and possibly 3 venues in Sydney alone and last year Paul only performed one concert there which I attended!

you are right, I also think he can not fill these arenas alone, so it is a Sting/Simon tour.

That in mind, I do not think it is a tour to promote a new album... I mean, it could be, but I would guess they play the same setlist, and there is not much room for unknown new songs. Also my thought was/is, that a new album will be out in summer/fall 2015. Even if the recording is finished this fall it takes looooong to release it.

BTW, for me it is good to have Paul planing his tours so long in advance now (I more talk about the April dates Erwin, thats nearly 10 months, very unusual for Paul).
So, should I fly home earlier from Mexico...hm. For the promotion of a new album the answer would be 100% clear, yes. For a Simon/Sting tour I know what they are playing. Also this will be a indoor event in April, I guess seated...not exactly what I like. I wonder where they will play in Vienna - Indoor is normaly the Wiener STadthalle, which has only 2400 seats
The soccer-stadion has 30.000-55.000 places, but Sting and Paul can not fill that. And the sound is so terrible what I would never got there again.

hm..now I am really curious about the Vienna Gig.
Either only 2400 people (thats not enough for Sting+Simon), or a outdoor concert on April 1, which might include rain?
