I find the different lyrics very disturbing...sounds someone who completely forgot the lyrics is singin along the song just whatever comes to his mind :-) The final version is a 100 times better

| Remember those "different" lyrics for Bridge Over TW? I recall reading that during recording tests, words would just be sung to the music so that the demo would have words but the demo was being made for review of the musical sound. |

But my guess is that for the alt. version of The Coast these lyrics are serious and later Paul found better ones. I mean, these are only 2 verses he replaced, the rest is the same.
I really love the original opening line of the Coast...the family of musicians (the song opens with a wonderful scene/image) - while the alternative lyrics are not very interesting...this is the echo of the echo |
