 | Tonight we had a great treat! Paul Simon made a haiku comprising of lines Seamus Heaney poetry set to music accompanied by Martin Hayes on the fiddle. Paul said he did not wish to subject us to an American accent trying to say the most irish of poetry. The song was put together by himself, Paul Muldoon & Martin Hayes. The complete concert will be aired on rte radio 1 on Sunday evening. Should be available online via the rte radio player. I started to record but the flash came on and as I was facing the majority of the audience including directly in front of his excellancy president of Ireland! I felt it wasn't appropriate to continue:)) |

 | The haiku used as the hook/chorus in the song :-
Dangerous pavements.
But this year I face the ice
With my father’s stick. |

 | Great photos thanks Ans - strolling though Stephens green on a sunny summers afternoon - Paul could put that in a song if it weren't already!!
Article very interesting - so Paul has his own private jet! |
