I went to New Paltz and this man was a professor of mine. A really smart guy.

The one thing about going to SUNY New Paltz is that they never mention Salvador at all. For such an interesting story one would think more people who live there and attend there know the story of The Capeman. Even the school itself doesnt want to be bothered. Its a shame, despite the crime he did, its a very interesting piece of history that belongs to a school that otherwise has a very common history that it just disappears.

Strange article. I would not presumed though that he never listened to these tapes. Do you recall a tape called 'Gumboots: Accordeon Jive Jits, Vol. II' ?

I would presume Paul receives a dozen tapes a week like that one.
A little bit strange was the telephone number he gave away - sounded like "call me, here is my private number", but it was only the office.
Remember when Los Lobos said they tried to phone him for weeks...? ;-) Maybe Paul always thought: Thats my private number I give away...but I never receive any calls :-(
