 | I saw this text this week from the prestigious paper Le Monde from France.
http://www.lemonde.fr/culture/article/2013/08/22/g raceland-le-son-du-monde_3465172_3246.html
What caught my attention is the paragraph where Ray Phiri´s is quoted saying that the Crazy Love Vol. II melody is a lullaby that his father thought him. It would be a melody from Malawi.
Following his version, he told Simon and asked him why he had not given the relevant credit for the song. Simon would have responded by: ´Who are you ? I am Paul Simon. Nobody is going to believe you´.
Ray also indicates he found the riff for YCCMA, which has kind of been acknowledged over the time.
Well, this relationship between Simon & Phiri is a mysterious one.
