my friend Diana and I are from the states but have internships in France this summer and want to be at this concert!!!!! (I am a S&G nut!)
How early do we have to get there to get good places? And can we camp out there, or will the policemen of Rome drag us away?
Basically I´m determined to be in the very very front row. :)

Hi Liz,

Will you leave for Paris? This is my hometown and I found a round flight for 150 euros.

The concert is FREE. You just show up. No tickets.

I posted already what I think would be the best sollution. Look for campings on the internet. B&B are about 70 euros a night(Room for 2). I absollutely think that there is no need to spend the night in front of the stage! Just get there by lunch time and you´ll be fine(wear hats and bring lots of water!) CIAO

That´s a really good price, but actually I am trying to plan a backpacking trip for the end of my internship, so my friend diana and I will be hopefully taking a bus (very cheap!) to visit germany, maybe switzerland, and definitely rome! I´ve never been to europe before, but I´m really excited to be able to explore a little bit! :) thank you very much anyway though!

It´s a pleasure. Just remember that you CANNOT CAMP OUT THERE. It would be like putting a tent in Times Square or Piccadilly Circus...

They are really playing at the real Colosseum? Uh...where do they play? There are no seats, so to speak in it, and not much room for them either, even though there is sort of a stage being built in it. So I´m just wondering how exactly does that work (sorry if I sound stupid)?

It won´t be *inside* the Colosseum but in front of it, on a stage installed on a large avenue with large screens in the streets around for the people who won´t be lucky enough (or patient enough :-)) to see the stage.
