 | I´m a huge fan of Harper Simon´s first album that came out a few years ago, and while checking up on his website I noticed that there´s a free download of a new song ("Bonnie Brae") from his latest album "Division Street," which is set to be released this coming March.

A bit different from his previous country tinged record, but enjoyable nonetheless.

| Based on what he did recently, it is clear that Harper does not want to be discussed on the web by fans of his famous dad. I don't think it is appropriate to have a thread about him here. We don't want Bodo to get into trouble. If Harper deserves to be discussed, it should be on a website founded and maintained by his fans. He obviously resents the interest expressed by the fans of Paul Simon. |

Freedom of expression on this forum please. If Harper Simon has trouble that we found an interest in his career as a musician, maybe he should look for another job. |

| Didn't mean to cause any trouble, and I started this thread before the DOM site news was shared with us. I think it is important to share updates with each other on this forum as long as an interest is shown.
I too am looking forward to Harper Simon's new album and am interested to see what artistic route he takes with it. |

  | I think there is no reason for any over-reactions. I even believe it is not the case that Harper does not want to be discussed on a Paul Simon fan page (there are fan who like him AND his dad, so he should be happy with that)
What I believe is that Harper wanted to keep his mother private. There aren't any infos about her on the internet and TDOM had some (I blieve even a very old picture(?)), thats it. She is not a public person nowadays so I would have understood the request. |

| I just wanted to add that Harper seemed to be a very cool and nice guy, very approachable. He was in the room before going on stage, taking pictures of the other bands. I would be surprised if this thread would cause any trouble as you are discussing his music not his private life. |
