Hey Bodo, maybe a good idea? Now I see 12 times the same name starting a new thread.

Michiel: I think this has to do with me. I decided to stop with putting up so much news, perhaps (only) a view times!

I realise that I may be annoying for others, so I quit!

Hi

In fact I was happy that there are some more news and new threads here now. It was very quiet in the past months. And I would have missed all of these news because I do not find the time to check other websites at the moment, so I only watch what is going on here (and sometimes facebook).

So thanks to Corry for putting up the news about the Australian concert and the interviews !

Corry, the only thing is, maybe you better use the [REPLY] button more often within the threads (the additional info for example would better fit into the old thread) - this would give the whole thread a longer discussion and life-span. It will also put the thread onto the TOP again, so everyone knows something has been added. The problem with the news is, that they will be send out by email as a newsletter - so if you create too many NEWS it will be annoying later to read that long newsletter. I think within the past 10 years we prefered to read threads with many replies (answers) and got used to that :-)

Hi Bodo,

In the beginning of "my carrier" on this forum my news was indeed received in a fantastic way. Then I was putting up videos and received a remark about uploading this old stuff. I promised to be very reluctant with putting up new videos on the forum and did not do this anymore.

This week you gave me an advice publicly on how to present the news on this forum and I accepted this from your side and I acted in the way you proposed.

And now today: just another member starts with complaining. Indeed: you are right: the last news I placed on the forum regarding Paul Simon and the Blues Fest had been better placed in the same topic: I realised this later. This is also the same thing for the uploaded videos.

In this thread a "like" has been placed to the member who started this topic. I know this "like" member from another forum.

I understand that you really appreciate my searching for news: but within the fortnight I have been posting things. All things I mentioned above does not motivate me at this moment to put up any things on this forum.

In the meantime I know the following: the old members do know a lot of things I still do not know. May this be a warning for new members if they are wanting to post some stuff: the way all things happened to me within the last 14 days will keep them away from posting anything on this forum. For this moment - so much seeing my name because nearly nobody on this forum places a post on this forum - is the reason why I quit and I do not know if I`ll come back.

Bodo: in a P.M. to you I asked you to delete all my posts which did not get an answer in order to see my name not so much: please do this for my and your own sake and perhaps other members will take the opportunity to make their own posts!

An additional question: perhaps you may give the members theirselves the ability to edit and/or delete the posts they write, wrote or have been written. Due that this is not possible on the forum my name is mentioned in so many ways! Greetings Corry

Hi Corry, please don't feel bad about all the comments none are meant badly - better too many threads than too few I'd say. I'm always very reluctant to start a thread as I'm never sure the topic warrants one - so I try to use a previous one than I can link into.
And I'm sure Brenda Diane and our other Australian members were so delighted with the news about 2013 tour that theyd ve forgiven anything - I certainly am so delighted for them - thank you

Hi Scaaty:

Thank you very much for your great supporting and sharing your thoughts about posting on this forum! I have had a widenend P.M.correspondence with Bodo regarding posting as a "Newbee": his advice to me was the same one you gave me.

For all of our members who are staying on this forum since a long time: do you realise that all the stuff I have been posted until now is not only ment for old members? I am posting al kinds of stuff now regarding if you like the videos or not: we just have to need new members that may post something. And in another way: we have to reach the younger generation who did not grow up with Simon and Garfunkel and therefore do not know anything about their intellectual music and Paul`s so beloved and fine tuned lyrics. So I will put up all kind of things in a moderate way: this will not be a bombarment. And to those who have had not such a nice comment to me: if you do not like it, do not take a look at what I have posted. Another idea would be: please do a post by yourself instead of putting up a negative comment! Unless you like doing so: it says more about you as it tells something about the one who is posting!

Bodo, Erwin and Scaaty: I`ve decided to stay and when I find something I will post this.Scaaty: try it, although I really can imagine that this frightens you regarding the comments I received within 14 days. My post about videos will be in a bundle: not every seperate topic anymore!

Until now I forget to mention a generous member of this forum from Austria. Her name is Mimi. She had put here a video just before I put mine on the forum and she told me. I made excuses to her, but she told she would delete her video in order that my video still has a place in the frontpage! Thanks Mimi for this great gesture! Scaaty: take this member as an example how there are also good members on this forum!

There are also good members on this forum? what do you mean? nobody said anything harsh to you. Everyone on this forum are friendly and kind. Nobody minds that you post things, it's just that we miss new information because of all the "all ready seen" videos you posted.

Rosie: this is axectly what I mean what you are saying now.

Yes I posted videos some people on this board have already seen. But when I look at the figures of the visits to this videos it appaers that some people may not have seen them! I am posting for everyone on this forum: if you don`t like the videos just do not look at them! You are not obliged to!

But you are wrong regarding the so needed news you want. If you look wel on the main page I started by posting a lot of "News" and this was hughly appriciated. My advice to you is: read all the "News" topics I have put up and after doing this make up your mind again.

"You can`t always get what you want": why not to make a post by yourself? I wish you a lot of success by doing this!

Hi Corry, I like your enthousiasm and thanks for all the things you've brought up. It was not my intention to sound rude. Apologies. I hope you still continue in bringing things up. Maybe more in one thread, as Bodo suggested. Apologies, I should not have placed my 'good idea' since it was not my intention to create sound of silence.

It's been mentioned before - but everyone should be always aware that posters are not always using their native language and many statements can get lost in translation both by the writer & the reader:))

This is so true Scaaty. I always have problems to understand if something is meant as a sarcastic joke or if it is really bad. LIKE is easy :-)
