  | New to me! Thanks Bodo! Very funny sketch. Notice Edie and the New Bohemians were on that show 12/08/90. Maybe the show when they first met? |

 | They met on SNL in 1988.
As if they were already a couple in August of 1990, I can't tell. It seems to me that Simon was still seing Carrie here and there until thart year.
August of 1990...it is exciting ! A few months before the release of ROTS, his last multi-platinum album ! |

 | In this very interesting article, Paul tells THE story of their meeting...no, no naughty girls, not ALL the story!!!

 | Great article Marieno! Thank you very much. Disappointed to see he fell out with Derek Walcott - I thought he had left that type of thing behind him.
Does any one know if Paul and Brian eno fell out? Eno is frequently on Tv re U2 and has spoken of others he has worked with but I've never heard him mention Paul Simon |

  | That is a good article. I remember reading it.
But now I found a strange sentence within the first paragraphe:
"...and because Simon recorded the 10 songs largely on his own, the band has been gathering to learn them all."
Somehow with all that discussions about the Graceland songs and Los Lobos this sounds completely out of another world. Sure, I believe that most of his usual touring band wasn't in the sudio and he played more guitars than on Graceland or ROTS, but there have been Jim and Vincent and many many others and the sentence "largely on his own" sounds as if he was the only guy in the studio with 25 instruments in his two hands :-) |
