  | Great news Brenda, although the link doesn't seem to work for me. Is it just me? |

 | I remember when Gary Jules covered 'Mad World' by Tears for Fears (another of my favourites, for other reasons) and TFF Greatest Hits shot up the charts... It was great to see and hear, and proof that great music never dies.
This is great for Paul, and a poke in the eye for those haters that are still out there... Mainly writing for the Guardian! x |

  | Good to see Graceland charting across Europe. No-one likes Paul Simon as much as we do here in the UK, though. He has had three number one albums here (Paul Simon, Graceland and Rhythm of the Saints). I don't think that is matched anywhere else.
There are some great stats here: http://tsort.info/music/9e1fw9.htm
Fair play to Norway and Sweden who carried on buying the albums when everyone else had stopped listening - Hearts & Bones got to number 3 in Norway and spent 12 weeks on the charts in Sweden! Even Songs from the Capeman charted in Norway and Sweden. |

  | 39 weeks in the UK chart? It was only released last month. These figures must include the original chart run from 1986/87 which explains why it says 're-entry' on the BBC chart. |

 | Yes Matthew, 39 weeks is too much. But the original album stayed longer than about 33 weeks in the charts of UK and Ireland. Probably it is the last plus the actual re-entry.
Belgium Flanders 52 6 weeks in
Belgium Wallonia 70 6 weeks in.-
In both charts we find the Greatest-Hits album "Toots 90" released at the 90th birthday of Toots Thielemans. |

  | Klausi, you're right. I have found the official UK album chart website. When originally released Graceland (WX52) spent 115 weeks on the UK album chart (including 8 weeks at number 1).
The Sony re-release (Sony 88697842502) which came out in 2011 has spent 6 weeks on the chart according to the following site. I suspect that number needs to updated or the new album (25th Anniversary) might get another entry depending on whether they count it as a different album.
