Bodo, I see in your photo collection, which is great, that there is a noticable difference in Paul Simon´s Face. Particularly his lower ears. They are pointed and apparently joined to the side of his face.He also looks very different in the 2003 tour photos compared with the your the one tour photos.Any answers?

getting Old? ;-)

Seriously, I think his ear´s are now different since 5 or 6 years. You can´t see it that good if he is wearing a cap IMO.

I don´t know why he finally decided not to wear it (the cap). He doesn´t look very good with this few hairs IMO. In 1997 he had a full bald head and it looked much better (tidy?). But I guess he felt uncomfortable so.
The interesting thing is that he is still wearing cap´s in his private life (people report so) but on stage he takes it off... :-)

Er BingFrisby......not being funny.......but are you serious? Is that what occupies your mind? The shape of Paul Simon´s ears!

I remember it has already been a subject for a debate a quite long time ago but I can´t remember if it was in this forum or on the NALS site :-)

Hi, David. Yes it is something that I noticed. I am as interested in this progressive change in Simon´s ears as I am in his Calcium deposit on his finger in the 70s as I am in his carpal tunnel syndrome operation as I am in his guitar technique as I am in his use of acrylic on his fingernails as I am in his songwriting as I am in his music as I am in Simon & Garfunkel.

P.S. Thanks for the info, Bodo.It does seem an unusual change, must admit. I wondered whether it was some kind of facial surgery. There is one particular photo in you list that shows this difference. Plus, I bet David can´t look at Simon now without noticing.....Sorry, David, but it was something that was pointed out to me initially....now it draws my attention.

I think it was discussed on NALS (under a picture) and in this forum too later :-)
We came to the conclusion that
a) Ear´s and noses never stop growing, so Old persons mostly have big one´s
b) As Paul is very small the effect is bigger.
c) Edie loves it ;-) (no a joke LOL)

He neve would made any facial surgery IMO - but I still wonder what he did with his hair. It´s looks like he has more hair now than 6 years ago.

Ok, I was almost sure it has started on NALS ! LOL !
And we had many talks about "toupé or not toupé" there too ! :-)
About how his hair looks now, well, maybe he just lets them longer and so, it looks like if he has more of them or he has just found a good fertilizer :-)

As long as the discussion doesn´t start about the length of his nose hair.....

If his hair was neater a few years back than it is now, maybe it´s possible Paul was shaving the top of his head and now chooses not too....waite a mo, am I really having this conversation?!?! ...lol!
