It cannot be true that Paul will only tour with Ladysmith in 6 European cities. He has so many fans in other European countries. Cant we somehow get true to the management and ask? Anybody here who has personal contact with Paul and his team ;-)

LBM have a busy tourschedule of their own. In august they go on tour with Johnny Clegg in America. Let´s hope Paul and LBM will come back next year for a bigger tour in Europe. Good chance they will tour together in America in the autumn. If you are interested in a concert from LBM they will perform in Amsterdam and Groningen in May.

London
Dublin
Brussel
Amsterdam
Herning
Stockholm
Oslo
Bergen

makes 8 cities. In your area I could easely visit 3 of them only with my car (Amsterda, Brussel, Herning). From my home I´ll have to book flights.

I can´t believe all those cities are in northwestern Europe. There is Southwestern Europe, Central Europe, Southeastern Europe, Eastern Europe. The selection of cities is somehow strange in my humble opinion.

Perhaps this short tour has also something to do with the venues. I mean time is short and perhaps not every venue was available. It has been a very long time since Paul played in Amsterdam. Normal it was Rotterdam, the Ahoy.
Just a simple thought. Could be wrong.

Paul played the Arena in 2004 with Art. I think this new venue, Ziggo Dome, will be a pleasure for him to play, sound should be very good.

I am missing out in my country because I am away that date.
Does anybody know if and where there will be other dates with Ladysmith scheduled, like in Paris or Belgrado or so???

For now it´s only 2 weeks in Europe. No dates in Paris and Belgrado. Probably more dates later this year in the USA and after that in Europe but by than we are talking about 2013.

Of Course it´s a pitty Paul will perform in only 8 cities and 4 of them concentrated in Scandinavia. But I think it´s fair, because Paul played nearly the same countries the last 10 years. So now it´s time again for other countries to enjoy Pauls music.
For me it´s a pitty to, so I decided not to go to a concert this summer. I hope Paul will come back to Germany soon.
So just relax, because Paul can´t be everywhere and other people want to see him too.

Sorry Bjoern I can not follow your arguments.?

In the last 10 years Paul played in countries like Ireland, England, Netherlands and Belgium on every tour. So yes, it would be fair if he visits some other countries now, not the same cities/countries again and again. But he does it.

Someone could argue that he has the biggest concentration of fans there.
An argument against that would be, that people will forget you if you do not visit the country in 20 years. If you play there every 2-3 years more people will become fans and come again. He/his management constantly seem to ignore (for example) how big his fan base in Spain is. No concerts since 20 years. Just an example

And - sorry to say that - but when I have been in Dublin last year the only fans in the first row waiting for 3 hours came from France, Denmark, Austria, Netherlands... So it gives you a feeling that the true fans have to travel a long way to see Paul.

It´s not for us to decide where he should or shouldn´t go. He´s got fans all over the world.
I sure am happy that he´ll come to the Netherlands again and agian and again I hope :).
Think he´ll go to South Africa this summer and hopefully next year a bigger tour with the Netherlands in it and many more countries. Stay healthy Paul!

Truus - I am pretty sure you would not write that if you live in another country. You sound very selfish.

@Bodo
Of course Paul played in Ireland, UK, NL, and Belgium nearly every tour (and so last year). But not in Scandinavia. Thats what I mean with fair; according to Scandinavia. However; we have to live with the actual schedule. As I said: For me it´s a pitty too, he don´t come to Germany and I feel with you Bodo. I know how it feels to wait for Paul, because the first concert I wanted to see him was in Hamburg 1991. But it was cancelled because of stormy wheather. So i had to wait 9 !! years (2000) before I had the chance to see him the first time in my life. So for me it´s no problem to wait.

Bodo, how come you don´t like to travel for a PS concert anymore, you did in the past.

Let´s not forget Paul is 70. We should be grateful he is still touring, making music, enjoying life etc.

I became a big fan pretty late (1995) and thought I would never see him live but Dublin will be my 12th time :) got to see a soundcheck and talked with him in person, got two autographs. Very grateful that I have the opportunity and time to travel and can afford it, kids all grown up now :)

Bodo, In fairness to the Irish fans in Dublin, the concert was in a pub and a small venue - therefore they didn´t feel a need to queue to be in the front rows, especially when there was drink to be bought. I got a very good spot without queueing although I was there early enough to.

But I do agree its unfair that Paul is playing 2 nights in a row in Dublin and not visiting Germany or France.

By the way has he ever played in Hungary since that is suppose to be his ancestral home?

Hi Scaaty,

yes, he played once, in 1991, in Budapest, but this was sort of accident, I guess.

I am dreaming of a Budapest-Bucharest duplex Simon and Garfunkel concert (a benefit one) - since Art´s parents are from Romania. It would be nice, methink (I am a Hungarian Livin in Romania)...

As for me, I went first and foremost for Paul in 2008 in Rome, in 2011 in Paris, and will be goin in 2012 to London (from Romania).

Think that he never was in Eastern Europe (meaning ex-"communist" countries) at all. And - most probably - no chance to see him there at all...
