 | I hope Paul reads this. Sandwiched in between the Rockies and Saskatchewan, Alberta is the wealthiest province in Canada so Albertans have disposable income. Artie´s concert here in Edmonton last year was sold out. There is a great thirst for anything S&G in Western Canada. Practically all of the Canadians on Artie´s message board are from Western Canada (Jan, Gloria, Christi, Sophia, myself, Jude, Reese and some Vancouverites as well). Yet Western Canada was omitted from the 2003 tour and hasn´t appeared on the 2004 tour list thus far. Please, please, please come up here. |

 | Oh come on! Some of us Europeans travelled thousands of miles just to see S&G. Why don´t you just go to any American city near you?
They will be touring in the US for the second time while the Germans for example will only have two concerts! Stop complaining! |

 | It´s really a shame that they don´t play in Spain (if these are all dates...but I think so (and a little bit I hop really that the tour is over then!) But I have a feeling this is NOT the last S&G tour, why should it be the last one?
The spanish people also didn´t get a Paul Simon show in 2002, but I think it´s simply because no concert manager there is paying so much money (will the spanish people pay 100 - 150 Euros per ticket?)

 | I think that Spain has most of Paul Simon and S&G fan´s and so it really makes no sense.
Also they don´t visit the country with the most S&G fans - Japan. |

 | Yeah, that´s a pity : I think I would have made an effort to go to see them in Barcelona if there was a concert there as it´s quite close to my place and Barcelona is always a nice city to enjoy but apparently, no date for Spain again ! |

 | Bodo,
now this is really something of interest to me. Do they really have so many fans in Japan? How could this be explained (if any explanation is possible). I´d like to hear what other people here think about it.
Thanks,
JBD |

 | It would take about two days to drive from Edmonton to Milwaukee or Omaha, the closest concerts to me. I can´t fit that into my schedule. And Air Canada tickets are neither cheap nor reliable - the company´s on the brink of bankruptcy. I am happy for the North American and European fans who were/are able to see S&G. I do not, however, concede that I should drop my demand for an S&G concert in Alberta. Have they ever even performed here before? I don´t think so. |

 | Why Spain has been let down one more time ? No concert planned there at all ??? |

 | No, and I think at this tour there will no be any more dates (If Garfunkel begin´s to walk then ;-) - and hopefully Paul finish his new album!
And there is really no time between the dates now. Sometimes they have 1 free night, but I think S&G only tour with 1 stage (to safe some money ;-) ) so it wouldn´t be possible to drive longer than 12 hours. |

 | Maybe there will be 1 more date on July 18, that´s the only date possible I think... but I guess they will have a break. |

 | Yes, they surely need breaks between the concerts or they won´t finish the tour (and Art will be too tired to start his walk ! :-)) |

 | I don´t have a clou why the Japanes like S&G that much. Japan is a big market - 130 million people in a country of the size like..hm Texas?
But I think S&G´s music style is closer to the Japanese traditional music with it´s soft and quiet sound´s - so maybe that´s the reason why Japanese people more like S&G than for example a heavy metal group ;-)
