 | If you´re looking to buy the ´Collector´s Edition´ (not the autographed one) in Europe, Amazon.co.uk are now listing it at £53.78. On Sony´s website it works out at about £100 with delivery & VAT pre-paid for the UK.

| As others have indicated, this is annoying.
I have at least three copies of Graceland on CD already, including a very rare interactive CD which was released at the time of the 10th anniversary. I have the Harare concert on VHS and DVD already and the music videos which were released on the three-disc version of the Essential Paul Simon in 2006.
So what would be good would be some new material. The Saturday Night Live performances would be good - all of them not just one. A live concert from the original Graceland tour would be nice but a different one, not one we already have!
The demos are interesting for the first listen but they don´t warrant repeated plays.
The 1 CD / 1 DVD seems good value but the 2 CD / 2 DVD set doesn´t seem to add anything other than the poster and the Harare concert we already have. After all, the single disc has 17 tracks which have been split to 11 & 6 tracks on the deluxe version so the second CD adds nothing. The music videos and SNL appearance are extras on the DVD even on the cheapest version.
I don´t get it - a missed opportunity. |
