 | This may exist in another thread: does anyone know when the next batch of Sony releases? I want to purchase Surprise for a friend - but it´s not retailing anywhere.

 | I´m REALLY hopeful that this last batch of releases gives us something other than re-issues.
The one I am most excited about is "Surprise", as I adore that album (as fave a release as I have by Paul). There was a story of, at least, one extra that I think Eno was less crazy about that was left off...hoping for anything like that...and/or a few live versions of tracks from the album similar to the "You´re The One" release.
"Songs From The Capeman" could be the big prize. Here is the greatest treasure of unreleased Paul Simon songs ever. I´m betting it gets a later treatment & release in regards to that material in conjunction with some kind of revival of the stage production...but I hope it happens this time. It may be my least favorite solo Simon release, but it´s still a very good, & very ambitious album with downright great moments. |
