BTW: I would Love to have (or make) a video of Pauls best live performances - as 1 concert together, not individual clips. Where you always take the best available performance (for example You Can Call Me Al either from ´Graceland, CP91, Paris or London 2006). But it´s hard to choose the best song list. And I always think that I should better wait till they release a CP91 DVD (which will never happen I guess)

Oh and by that way: 1 year ago, didn´t we all talk about the many new releases that will follow now (after Paul changed his label). You remember: a number of 5 live shows / videos. Did anything happen?

After watching the other documentries which I have also on DVD I realised it was the sound quality of the (very Old) TV. I watched it again later on in the night and enjoyed it much more. I liked that we saw a lot of the musicians because at the live shows I´m inclined to be just watching Paul and not see anyone else.

The Webster Hall sounded great at my place. I did notice that the directing sometimes looked a bit amateur. Overall, it is great to watch.

I guess there was a lot more care for the YTO Live in Paris. At that time, there was less piracy, the DVD was a new format increasing in popularity, etc. I guess it mattered more to put extra care.

The Live at Webster Hall looks like: ´we are going to give a show and you guys are just going to capture it.´

The direction wasn´t as bad as I feared. The guy who directed this, Martyn Atkins, directed a few music DVDs I have and some were just awful. There´s a Tom Petty concert from the late 90s and the direction just ruined the DVD. He kept cutting out, between songs, to the roadies outside packing and unpacking. There were all these bizarre filmic shots, as if it was a Hollywood movie, and they hardly ever stuck with one angle for more than a few seconds before cutting away again. I don´t know whether that was all down to him, but it was seriously like a ten year Old had been let loose with Windows Movie Maker. I definitely preferred the plain, simple way this concert was filmed.
