Next Friday 20th January BBC Four in the UK will be showing an evening of Paul Simon content. At 9pm they are showing an hours worth of Live at Webster Hall recorded in 2011. They will also be showing repeats of The Harmony Game and the BBC Live Sessions (recorded LSO St Luke´s, London from the Suprise Tour) and Songs of America.

Right, only our Paul can fit into a smartphone. But don´t start making more jokes on the Old size matter, he seems to be over it.

BTW: If you watch it on a beamer and sit too close, it looks like Paul is oversized.

Enjo the way you like.

Might also be worth trying to sign up here - I have no idea if it works outside the UK but you can watch all of the channels for free if it does.

Including BBC 4 on Friday night.

OK lovely people, here´s the BBC broadcast, 1hr in length - It´s not the best quality, as it´s been grabbed from a web stream and re-encoded to divx. Get it while you can!

Well, quality is a therm that got lost somewhen in the last few years. People are happy with a youtube video too. There seem to be 2 fractions now "I want blue ray hd file" and "please can you upload this to youtube" :-)

I´m interested in your view that it was a bit low-key Scaaty. I thought that when Paul was central to the camera-work and editing the show had the right energy and I really enjoyed it - The Obvious Child, Hearts And Bones, Sound of Silence and Gone at Last were great.

So Beautiful or So What was the best of the recent songs as broadcast. But sometimes the textures in the music were so rich that the camera didn´t seem to know which musician to focus on... and at times i could only think that the editor was a close relative of the drummer or Mark Stewart. They seemed to get as much screen time as Paul and that wasn´t right. In both Crazy Love and Kodachrome Paul hit into the chorus and the camera veered off to look at the drummer - I´ve never seen that in a concert dvd before .

Some good peformances and a very clean image - but i actually preferred the filming of the I-Tunes concert at the Roundhouse last summer.

Really?
So far I found this one better than the I-Tunes filming. You could clearly see that the iTunes film crew had no clue where which sound came from (for 30 seconds they searched for the piano player during his solo on the strings). Of course the DVD has been cut after the show and was not live, but this brought up many new details. I couldn´t say if Mark got as much attention as Paul, but during most instrumental parts Paul is doing nothing so it might be boring to have him on screen.
