Thank you for posting this interesting article. I am glad to see Art´s voice is well enough to let him perform a few songs. Paul seemed to be concerned about him.

I don´t recall seeing any photos of Art performing without his hairpiece. Is this a first?

Art wears a hairpiece! I never know that... well, you learn something new ever day.

I´m surprised, after all the stick Paul got over the years, I would have thought that degree of vanity was beyond him. He´s 70 year Old, after all! I´m going bald now, and I´m 34! :-)

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

He wears it most of th times he performs. He is so known for his hair that he kind of has to wear it. Other times he seems to go without. Who would ever have thought Paul would end up with more hair than Art.

Paul has more hair now than he did in 1997. How come? He has defintely done "something" about it.

i think he did implants. Back in the excessive use of baseball cap days, leading into Gershwin award. Definitely not a piece.

Well said Nancy, the Famous curly hair is Art´s trademark; we can see many pics of him without a toupee but when he makes a show, he must have it, especially during S&G shows...Garfunkel without his hair is not really Garfunkel!!!

By the way, on this pic, he wears the "typic Old man clothes"...his wife must do something for him: it´s well known that many men have not so much taste for clothes...look at Paul, i think that Edie has a good influence on his wardrobe!!!

Ok, but at what age is he allowed to wear the old man clothes then?

I think we sometimes forget about the fact that these guys now at our grandparents age. It´s a wonder they are traveling around and care about their hair.

I somehow can not imagine that Paul had a hair transplantation, he is not the guy for that. I only know 1 picture where Paul is really bald (Capeman time) and it could be that in that time he simply had a 1mm hair cut - what looks like as if you do not have any hair.

Bodo, I have nothing against becoming Old...i hope that everybody here will getting very, very old but reaching a certain age doesn´t mean that you have to wear the "GrandPa uniform" or for the ladies, to tint your white hair in purple or in pink (my grandma used to, like many ladies of her age) !!! ;-)
i like to see Paul in jeans and sweat...it is not for seeming younger or for acting like a young man but it is just him...
But everyone has his own taste so...

i don´t know Bodo. In the very RARE appearances without the famous baseball cap (Kennedy Center honors, Gershwin prize) Paul seemed to have less hair the the SBOSW tour.

Hi Marieno, nice to see you again :)

Paul always cared about his hair, it wouldn´t Surprise me if he had implants and I think there´s nothing wrong with that. If it´s important for him he should do it. He looks good, dresses well and more important, he did a great tour last year :)
