 | There are a number of articles out today predicting the Grammy nominations and most include So Beautiful or So What. (However, the general sentiment seems to be that Adele will win.)

 | I read them, too. It would be a big honour, if SBOSW would get the nomination. |

 | I´m sure it will. Hasn´t Adele been on voice leave, had an
operation I think, had to rest her voice, everyone is getting
it. |

 | Fingers crossed SBSW geta an album of the nomination. It truly deserves to, but I really think SURPRISE was worthy that year too.
Most of the articles I have read don´t have Paul Simon in their predictions at all.
I can´t see why Lady Gagga deserves a nomination - seems like re-cycled trash to me.
If SBSW gets a nomination then my understanding is it would mean Paul Simon has gained album nominations in every decade from the 1960´s. That would be a pretty unique acheivement, and fully deserving. |

 | It better be a good night. I recall my shock when Surprise wasn´t nominated, especially after YTO was. |

 | It´s all about the demographics, not the art. |

 | Entonces...nada ?
It must be disappointing for Paul. The Fall tour was supposedly largly due to increase his chances of a Grammy nominations. Maybe he has not sold enough to be even on the radar screen. |

 | Well, times change, and Adele is indeed talented. However, I wonder how many of this year´s nominees will even be remembered when they´re 70 years Old? |

 | What was Paul´s last Grammy win? |

 | Probably in 1987.
His last nomination was, I guess, YTO for Album of the Year in 2001. Even there, most people saw this as a form of recognition rather than having actual chances to win. |

 | Didn´t S&G win the lifetime award in 2003?

 | Yes but if S&G can be differentiated in the hall of fame - why not for grammy lifetime achievement. Artie wasn´t around for Graceland, SBOSW. |

 | Let´s hope that Paul will get a Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award someday. He certainly deserves it. The important thing is that he brings a lot of people a lot of joy with his music. And thankfully there are reviewers who write about Paul the way he deserves.
