The show usually starts about 15 minutes late. I don´t remember how much time went by between the opening act and the start of Paul Simon´s show in Memphis but at that point, Simon was taking the stage about an hour after listed show time. The show itself lasts a little over two hours. Add time to find get out of the venue, find your car, get out of the traffic jam in the parking lot, navigate the traffic jam right outside the venue and drive home....

Paul was on time both times I saw him. However in Kentucky
with the Punch boys, the show was cut by a half hour.

Cher,All the reviews I read of the Bank of Kentucky show state that Paul played for two hours which is the usual time. Quote from one review
"Simon began the show at 8:30 p.m. and played nonstop for two hours. He came back out for two encores, and the feeling in the arena was that he just couldn`t stop playing. For the first encore, He returned to the stage alone, acoustic guitar in hand, and played `The Sound of Silence. Even without Art Garfunkel beside him, Simon`s performance was strong enough to carry the song solo. Simon played three more songs, including a cover of `Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles.
The performance impressed even a person unfamiliar with Simon`s music outside of his work with Garfunkel. There is something about his music: It just makes you feel good.
