Paul Simon is 70 and can no look back on a successful career. He does not need to worry about hit records any more.
The fact is Paul changed back to Columbia so that he had control over his recordings with pressure to have a hit album. We are happy that he is not planning to retire. Yes we want a no 1 album but why?
Paul Simon no longer has to write songs amid at the top 10 any more he is now doing it for his fans and the label now lets him.
