 | First time in many years I reall get angry. A nerving window that opens to promote the new CD, and no way to close it. That is not what I want to see.
Will stay away now.

 | Bodo, you just click in the bottom tight "Proceed to paulsimon.com"and the box disappears immediately. though this morning I did not get the box when logging on to the site. |

 | I believe there is also an "X" in the upper right hand corner that you can click on to close it. The photo is very nice to see anyway! Also, on a positive note about paulsimon.com, they just updated the news section today to talk about six new dates on the SBOSW tour including stops in Richmond, VA and some on the way down to Florida. |

 | Agree, paulsimon.com is very annoying to visit with that pop-up window. I didn´t know how to close it plus the top of the window doesn´t display on my PC as it dissappears until the website title bar (so can´t see the X).
I will declare that I have ordered the Songwriter CD, but not sure why (compulsive I guess). Really wish they would prioritise getting the 1991 concert in central park released on DVD - it really is the pinnicle of his career, I think. |

 | I use Safari and have a function that blocks pop-up automatically. Therefore, I have never seen the screen you are talking about. I guess I don´t miss much. |

 | X did not work, that why it really nerved.
And by no means it is nice to see a picture of something else, while you want to read parts of an interview. This is NOT what internet pages are made for. This is usually why people install pop-up blockers and adblockers (wont help here)
A good webmaster does not block a page with advertisement!
It is bad, bad, just bad. Nothing is good about it. It just cries: I want your money, BUY MY CD NOW!

 | Right Gerard - it is even programmed bad. The main menu is still above the pop-up, so you can not see the X.
I had to search around and try several clicks until I found the PROCEED to.... link (a link should at least change it´s color or become underlined when you scroll over it)
At the moment this is one of the worst official websites I know. I hope it is not someone from his family doin´ that work..

 | Or just: Internet Explorer sucks ;)
No problems with opera. The Close button is easy to find and works. |

Menu isn´t above it, even when i scroll.
Only IE has problems with it here

 | I use google chrome.
It is much faster than IE or firefox. I do not know why. Startup on IE or firefox alone takes 10 seconds or more...
Do not know which browser Gerard uses, but the page is programmed wrong I am pretty sure (wrong layer order) |

 | Seems to work in Chromium (Chrome "Nighly") without problems too:

(I don´t have Chrome installed) |

 | Seems as if the pop up is gone now? Just 1 hour ago it was there, when I load now it does not open. (or they save if you closed it)

 | Ouch...someone is reading here ;-)
Well...everything is fixed now (the close button is also visible now and not hidden under the menu).
Sorry, but I still think pop-ups for advertisement are not the right medium...it´s so early 2000´s like. |
