| Bert was an amazing guitarist but self-effacing to a fault. My two guitar heroes were Bert Jansch and Jorma Kaukonen - two completely different styles, yet somehow I felt that they chased the same muse. |

| It´s probably difficult to find anyone that knew him at that time in Europe in the 60´s who don´t have some unflattering remarks about him. Doesn´t mean they thought he was no good though. |
