 | Thanks Stu. Interesting songs Paul picked. He was always very fond of Aretha´s rendition of BOTW. Of course everyone will have their own favorites. I would trade SBOSW for LIESL and add Dazzling Blue but that´s just me ;-) I Love the cover!

 | Live 2011 version of "The Sound of Silence" on there. Now I finally have my hopes up for a new live album. Hopefully something will turn up after the Fall leg of the tour. |

 | Looks like there couldn´t be any pure S&G stuff on there. Weird choices. I´ve seen Look at That, That´s Me and Tenderness in lists of people least favourite songs.
Julio definitely out of favour at the moment. No Al and you´d surely have squeezed Bernadette and Born At The Right Time if you were showcasing song writing. :)
It´s all about opinions though... |

 | IMO That´s Me was one of the best tracks on Surprise. I also really like Look at That because of the melody shifts. Also this release has AMAZING cover art. |

 | "handpicked and sequenced by the man who knows them best." So obviously they saw this forum and had Bodo make the selections. lol |

 | Cool Picture.
For the rest...I think it might not be against any copyright law if I programm my mp3 player in that order? |

 | Not a bad idea Brenda. I set it as my desktop background as well! |

 | I wonder if PS will ever pull a Gordon Lightfoot and re-record some of his early songs. Will we ever see a "Pauls Gold" album? |

 | It´s interesting to have an album of songs Paul considers important, rather than ones the public and/or record company consider important. That said, if you´re listening to a compilation and not an album, maybe you want greatest hits and not some strange deeper cuts?
Overall, I´m not sure the CD quite hits it. When I first read the e-mail about live tracks, I was hoping for a little more than 2 out of 32 - 1 previously unreleased.
The reported PBS special and this does make it look hopeful there´s some kind of full live release coming. I really hope there is, preferably live CD & DVD. Here´s hoping. |

 | I too think the picture is beautiful. I like it better than the SBOSW one. |

 | I can´t get too excited about yet another "Best of" album. For my money, the BOTW album is still Simson´s tour de force -- especially the remastered version.
I do think that Love in Hard Times and Dazzling Blue rank with his best work, too. |

 | Nice picks with Tenderness and Seniorita. Tenderness is lovely (I also Love One Man´s Ceiling... from that record)
That´s Me? WTF? That´s crap. Once Upon A Time... needs some recognition.
Spirit Voices again? It´s a good song, but no classic. Born At The Right Time, She Moves On, Proof, The Coast, Can´t Run But are all superior.
Capeman should be avoided for compilations, I think, and left as a separate entity. |

 | Thats me is one (if not nr. 1) favourite song for me on that album.
