 | Doubt if there will be any mid west dates. Well I shouldn´t be
disappointed when it´s not known yet. From the lady who
described the Chicago concert in one word. |

 | well, I guess from the attendence in the smaller halls, they figured they could move up a size or two. The Greek is a beautiful (or so what) place, but $125 for reserved pit space? Maybe he will do some more club dates, I saw him at the fox in Oakland and at the Fillmore, and the Fillmore was way better, just due to size.
But, it makes me think the decision to play the smaller halls on the first leg of the tour had at least as much to do with uncertainty about the size crowd he could draw as any desire to connect with hard core fans... |

 | I highly doubt that. More likely an opportunity to build buzz on the tour, with sold out venues every night, and to allow ardent fans to get up close, experience the show, participate in that buzz. Another tour so soon, in bigger venues, smacks of an organized strategy, not a haphazard campaign with its genesis in pessimism. |

 | really? like their well organized web strategy, including yearly updates, and no information on his primary website? Is that orchestrated by the same geniuses who put together this build the buzz campaign? I think he had no idea what size houses he could fill, and I am not so sure he can fill the Greek, which is (capacity wise) a big step down from shoreline, or concord where he has played in the past.
I paid something over 100 to see him at the Fox, I would not do that at the Greek, and certainly some of the people who would go see him from this area will have already seen him just a few months ago, and may not be ready to buy another pretty pricey ticket. So, maybe he will see out and there is really a "buzz" around Paul Simon, it´ll be iteresting to see. |

 | well, if you´re unhappy, i guess you´re welcome not to attend. SBOSW was successful by every measure, as was the spring/summer tour. i´ll put my money on paul, thanks. |

 | for me ´putting money on paul´ is to say: he is a perfectionist in what he produces and how he presents. he would not put himself in a less than positive tour situation. |

 | If you only paid $100 that was cheap. It wasn´t fair when
so many could not afford good tickets but those people with
American Express got in first and then upped their scalping
prices from 5 to 15 times what they paid. And they call that
legal. |

Exactly. Thank you. Paul is one of the most successful artists in the history of the music business. I´ll take the default position that he knows what he´s doing. |

 | well, lets see, I have read he lost about 11 million on The Capeman. I´m not saying it wasn´t good work, but I don´t think he always knows exactly what the response to his work will be (and I doubt he would claim he does)

 | My friend, you are very over invested in Paul Simon, if you care what someone thinks about his business acumen |
