I liked some of her songs especially Back to Black.

I think she was overrated anyway... and I don´t really feel sorry because she died, that´s just what happens if you use too much drugs.
Apparently it wasn´t a good decision to say "No no no" to rehab...

I liked her style of music, something out of the mainstream. Question is if she would have ever had any success again (with or without drugs).

no no no...well her own decission then.

Very surprised that Bodo/an administrator has allowed this message to remain visible. Kuno, your level of tact and sympathy is simply despicable. I was not a fan of Ms Winehouse, to say the VERY least, but your blatant disrespect for her family and anyone else who might have enjoyed her music is worthy of scorn and contempt.

Such a tragedy for her parents and brother. So many creative people seem to self-destruct in this way. She had quite a powerful voice -- reminds me of Janis Joplin from my generation.

@ that Canadian forum guest:

I think your posting shows more disrespect for me than my posting for Amy.

And unlike Amy or her family, I am actually reading the posting... ;o)

dead is what happens when....you commit suicide, get in an accident, take too much drugs, have bad luck and so on and so on.
I feel sorry for a 27 year Old woman who dies because she was obviously overcharged with her life.
It doesn´t matter if I liked her music, her look, her style or anything.
Maybe I´ll die when I´m 100 years old. But maybe I´ll die, because I fall when I go climbing next time, or because I´m causing a car accident, or when I Have A Good Time and get drunk. Not a good feeling that people would think: "I´m not sorry, it´s his own fault"

Somehow even I feel attacked by that anonymous guest - do I have to care about Kunos feelings about Mrs. Winehouse?

Aren´t we in that so called area of the world where we can express our own opinion?

Seriously I was not surprised that Amy Winehouse died. I was more surprised why people seem to Love here for giving concerts completely drunk and on drungs and thought this is a very special and unique style of performing. Anyway I liked her style of singin/voice and some songs...but never went deeper into that territory than listening to some songs on the radio.

Really on two different ends of the scale: Amy Winehouse - with alcohol and drugs on stage vs. Paul Simon - without diary products and proteins on stage. ;-)

For her parents I feel sorry. It must be hard for a father/mother do have no control over a kid anymore, if she does just stupid things. I wonder why there is no law that allows parents to put their grown up kids into reha, if it´s proofen for 100% that they are on drugs since years and will die soon - seriously those people can not help themself, and in the music business you do not loose your job too...

What I find most disturbing is the constant playing of "rehab" on the radio at the moment . I don´t know all the lyrics maybe they say something different but all I hear is "rehab no no no" not a message I´d like a youngster with similar problems as Amy to be hearing !

It is sad, that Nobody could save her from herself. But I think it does not work putting somebody into rehab, if he/she doesn´t belive that he/she needs help.

But the press and the record companies earn so much money with all these drug addicted celebrities, they will not stop using them for their own business. And there are so many young ones, who find it cool that somebody acts like that. How boring, when somebody takes care of himself... It really is a very cynical business. Now they will sell much more of her records, than they would have otherwise.

I do agree Mimi ; and I´m disturbed by whant I saw on TV : people leaving glasses or bottle of wine or alchool in front of her home as a tribute !! Fortunately, flowers were there too
