 | Paul Simon mentioned at a press conference in Israel yesterday that his next project is to work on a documentary about Graceland for its 25th anniversary.

At least I got an answer yesterday from Pauls recording company concordmusic that they forwarded my email belonging the Central park 1991 video to a person at sony music.
I try to set some pressure on that by asking every few weeks now. Maybe (if some of you are also interested in that video) we can start some campagne on Facebook. But I believe I am not really good at that. Remember that Paul did a concert at a university last year because of a facebook campagne they started there?... How did they reach him? I sometimes think we are not even recognized :-)
It is nice to have a new Graceland documentary too, I wonder if it will be completely new or if it will just be a re-release of the already available documentary with some additional info.
This year seems to be about nostalgica, as we already had the "Bridge" anniversary. Paul Simon is really a busy men at the age of nearly 70 (if you remember he is also recording together with his wife now...)
Thats good I think - I believe that (normal) people who just stop doin anything after their working life at the age of 60 or 65 are going to age much faster. |

TDOF announced the Graceland documentary a few weeks ago. Commented the issue on my web site lately. For me, I don´t find any plus value for another documentary on this album. The doc from 1997 did the job. And we know that the vault on Graceland has been exhausted with the 2004 release.
It is just a re-release trick from Sony/Legacy. Now, if the album reaches new ears with it, that´s fine. |

Hey, you know what could be great for the 25th anniversary of Graceland, rather than another repackaging ? A short series of concert in very selected cities. Well, I mean, we endured countless S&G nostalgia shows, why not a few nostalgic concerts about Graceland. As the BAM series went with the ´Under African Skies´ concerts in 2008, I don´t think he would have problems selling tickets. Eddie Simon, if you read this, please take this into account !!! |

 | @Bodo: I think it´s a good idea to start a campagne according to the CP91 DVD. I´m looking forward to this DVD for many, many years. I will make some pressure by my self to the record company (we should all do that). Can you mail the e-mail adress to contact the record company?
About the Facebook thing: I´m not a facebook fan and I don´t have an account and have no Knowledge about that. But maybe somebody here in the Forum want to start something with facebook. |

one, I had tickets to 5 shows last year, sorry I didn´t get
back to them sooner like 2003. Graceland no. I´m sorry but I
like about 4 or 5 songs on that album. One cannot like everything even one of your favorite artists has done. I Love
everyone of the songs on the new album. It´s by far his best
in a long time. |
